If you listen to rap music at all, then you know many in the hip hop culture have a thing with drinking “lean” to get high – it’s prescription cough syrup mixed with Sprite, sometimes a Jolly Rancher for flavor.
Not saying I condone this – but it’s a thing. I mean, Lil Wayne drinks it and has practically been dying for the last decade. It’s sad because this syrup has the addictive power of opiates, in a legal prescription bottle.
One company in the cannabis space has turned the tables, putting their own healthy spin on this cultural trend and I absolutely love it!
Cloud N9ne Syrup is a line of sweet syrups made with a blend of pure hemp CBD, melatonin, and 9 all-natural herbs known for their relaxing and mood-elevating properties.
I know it can get confusing at times, but CBD (cannabidiol) is a chemical contained in marijuana that will not get you high. It shouldn’t show up on most drug tests**, either, in contrast to THC, the main, psychoactive component in cannabis.
**Though some tests will detect broad-spectrum cannabinoids so as always DON’T TAKE MY WORD FOR IT!**
Some will tell you that the jury is still out on CBD’s usefulness in treating medical conditions, but according to several studies, widespread patient testimony and the reviews on Cloud N9ne Syrup and other CBD products, the chemical has been shown to have incredible anti-cancer, pain relieving and healing properties.
I’ve personally met dozens of people who claim to have cured serious ailments using CBD oil. Whether or not it’s a miracle, it’s certainly a low-risk dietary supplement for relaxation, pain relief, or sleep.
The syrups come in 4oz bottles, in Watermelon, Cherry, Grape, and Blueberry varieties (Watermelon is my favorite so far!). They are super sweet but can be good in a hot or iced tea instead of Sprite.
I would not recommend you mix these with an energy drink, as the ingredients will have conflicting effects and make you feel a bit weird (can you tell I tried it? 😂).
This is a great option for anyone looking for assistance with sleep! It also helps with anxiety and pain – perhaps a good post-workout drink? I’ll have to try that.
Obviously another fantastic reason to stop sipping lean as well. If you’re into that, please for God’s sake give it a rest and try some all-natural herbs.
