All About Marijuana-Infused Bath Soaks

This is gonna sound harsh, but if you haven’t used cannabis-infused products in your bathtub yet, then my friend, you are not truly living.

The main thing to note here, I believe, is that these marijuana-infused bath soaksΒ will not cause you to trip a drug test for your job. THC from topical productsΒ does not enter the bloodstream or the liver! You can now enjoy all of the best medicinal effects, without even putting the cannabis in your body. If that’s not amazing, I don’t know what is.

Athletes (and regular people) have long used Epsom salts in a hot bath to soothe sore muscles and reduce swelling from injuries. Now, someΒ creators are infusing these salts with essential oils and concentrated cannabis oil inΒ order to provide a relaxing and pain-relieving experience.

Trust me when I say that after taking your first weed bath, you’ll probably never go back to regular Epsom salts ever again!

I only began using THC-infused salts when I started receiving them as product review samples, and now I’m budgeting them into a regular item on my cannabis self-care shopping list.

Rubs, salves and lotions are great for topical treatment, but something about submerging in the hot water just makes it feel SO much more effective. Bring your favorite vape pen, a candle, and maybe evenΒ a glass of wine into the mix. RigΒ up your Netflix on a laptop or tablet, and you’re readyΒ for the best “night in” of your life.

Oh yeah, and don’t forget to bring your Yoga Toes in the tub with you. Stretching those legs and toes in the hot water is a godsend for those times you struggle with achy feet or post-leg-day soreness.

So far, I’ve tried twoΒ brands of cannabis bath soaks, and would love to share with you my thoughts on each for those who might be interested in trying it out.

Whoopi & Maya

Created especially for women’s menstrual pain, the salts from Whoopi & Maya contain a long list of all-natural soothing ingredients like white willow bark which is proven to help relieve cramps. The soaks come in two incredible scents as well as an unscented version to go with your favorite bath time routine, and are each infused with 25mg of THC.

The product smells and looks so good, and is so potent, you might feel like a criminal pouring in the entire 8oz container of salts and watching it dissolve into oblivion, but all that changes once you hop into the tub. You can also get two uses out of the container by only soaking your feet and legs, if that’s where you need the most relief.

Check out a very similar line from Om – they deliver from Eaze (at least in my neighborhood!)

Sacred

The bath soak from Sacred is awesome because it contains a ton of luxurious components that are healthy for your skin. Some girlfriends and IΒ tried it out for our web series, Coffee & Cannabis, and it definitely didn’t disappoint. Jojoba, avocado and other natural oils combine perfectly with the cannabis to make you feel silky smooth and super relaxed. THC dosage unknown on this bath soak. The company also makes a sexy THC-infused personal lube, as well as massage oil products! You really can’t go wrong with any of this stuff for topical relief – and apparently intimacy as well.

A couple of things to know before you hop in with these sultry soaks:

  1. In order to get the most relief, you should try to give yourself a light massage to “rub in” the oils. I had great pain-relieving results by doing this with my knees and feet. Otherwise, the cannabis will just sit on the outer layer of your skin.
  2. After your bath, you may want to give your tub a wipe-down and rinse, because the floor will be extremely slippery from the oils! Wouldn’t want any accidents involving the next person to step in forΒ a shower.

If you experience aches and pains of any kind, please do yourself a favor and start your search for a good bath soak or bath bomb. I guarantee you’ll be hooked! If you know of some other awesome brands please leave them in the comments for me to stalk. πŸ™‚

  1. Im looking into making some. Ive made infused salts for cooking, its so easy the salt will absorb and dry after being mixed slowly as not to dissolve. Lined cookie sheet, 200Β° in oven stirring until dry.
For this I would do the same with epsom salt, infused coconut canna oil, 30 drops of essential oils(lavender, juniper, eucalyptus)
To add more cbd get a vial of full spectrum hemp oil that contains the cbd, terpenes, cannabinoids.
Sounds amazing, nice full body soak

    1. I would not recommend that because … #1 you won’t be getting the full effect, the hot tub is too big and it’s constantly filtering water out – plus the fact that chlorine and other chemicals are present. #2 it these contain cannabis oil and generally oils are not good for hot tubs.
